After Tamara, gastronomic restaurant by Clément Vergeat, and Nellu, food & craft wine bar, both located in central Paris, Groupe Tamara - a hospitality group headquartered in France with operations in France, US and Japan - is opening a restaurant in Bucharest: Vié.

Vié is centrally located in Sector 3, and features creative, locally sourced and instinctive cuisine, combined with a focus on French craft wines. Vié also features a retail corner, allowing customers to buy wines and deluxe dry/canned terroir products.

The restaurant is open 5 days per week, Wednesday through Sunday, from 5pm to midnight.

We are looking for a chef to head the kitchen activity in the restaurant. The chef will receive support in his work from other members of the group, including, notably, guidance from Clément Vergeat, chef at Tamara Restaurant. Depending on the case, trainings in Paris, France may be put in place.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate, at an extent depending on his/her personality, skills and experience, to the creation of the menu

  • Ensure, together with 2 sous-chefs, the execution of the menu during the service

  • Lead the cooking team: organise tasks and processes, quality control, training

  • Source the ingredients and the providers

  • Daily management of supplies - orders, reception, storage

  • Ensure that the hygiene good practices are properly observed in the kitchen.

Experience & Skills

  • At least 1 year experience as a chef or sous-chef

  • Good mastering of usual cooking and preparation techniques

  • Rigorous, passionate

  • Integrity, leadership skills 

  • Conversational English
